The houses above were kitbashed using our #111-112 Company Houses. Both were made by Don Spiro, a regular contributor to Railroad Model Craftsman. The house on the left should be appearing in an upcoming article in RMC. The Insulbrick covered houseon the right was featured in a previous article. We think the key for the realism Don achieves is his attention to detail. Look at the neat touches he has added -  the bicycle, bench and flowerpots on the porches, the mailboxes, electric meters, downspouts, trash cans and lattice under the porch!

The supermarket shown above is a modified City Classics West End Market. It was built by Alan Mende of Hummelstown, PA. Alan rearranged the kit’s walls to suit the available space on his layout and made the signs on his computer using an old photo of an Acme market for reference.

This building was built by Pat Shay of Branson, MO using our #109 Carnegie St kit. The kit is designed to be built a number of ways and Pat took advantage of that feature. He used parts from two kits and added a Walthers water tank and a few extra detail parts to create this interesting looking structure.
